Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group, an NY-based real estate broker, was founded by Corcoran. NRT bought it in 2001 for $66 million. Corcoran then exited the business. One of the show's first "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in the entire 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank until today. In February 2020, Corcoran had made 53 deals, with the largest being a $350,000 investment which was able to cover 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was second in the family of 10 children who was born in Edgewater. Florence was her mother. She was a homemaker. Her father, Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. moved from job to job throughout Corcoran's childhood. Her family frequently relied on free food deliveries from the local grocer. Corcoran recalls her father as a man who often consumed too much alcohol and treated her mother with disrespect and condescension, particularly after he'd consumed alcohol. Corcoran struggled throughout her schooling before discovering that she had dyslexia. Corcoran was a student at a Catholic elementary school in her community and started high school at St. Cecilia High School, Englewood. Corcoran was a failure in numerous classes in her freshman year, transferred to Leonia High School. There she received a grade of D.
